Taylor Sorrells is the President & Founder of Read With Me MN. Taylor is an early childhood educator with experience teaching in Chicago Public Schools and Minneapolis/St. Paul Charter schools. Taylor received her Masters in Literacy Education in 2023, where she wrote her thesis on the impact of culturally relevant texts on student engagement and literacy acquisition.

Zaria Lelewis is the Secretary at Read With Me MN, where she helps support the organizations mission of promoting literacy and community connection. As a new mom, Zaria is passionate about creating a brighter future for the next generation by making a difference in the world. Her dedication to service and belief in the power of education inspire her work with the nonprofit.

Becca Mills is the Treasurer of Read With Me MN. Becca is an elementary educator with 8 years of experience teaching first grade in Baltimore City and Minneapolis Schools. She also has worked in Early Head Start and Early Intervention programs. Becca received her Masters in Elementary Education from Johns Hopkins in 2014. She now runs her own business but remains passionate about equal education for all and closing the achievement gap.

Ramsey Sorrells serves on the Board of Directors and is a dedicated real estate strategist. While his background isn't in education, he shares Taylor’s passion for literacy and deeply believes in the mission’s impact on both the greater Minneapolis community and beyond. Committed to representation, Ramsey is eager to help elevate BIPOC authors and illustrators, ensuring that children see themselves reflected in the stories they read.

AJ works in early childhood special education and is currently writing her first children’s book. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion, with a strong focus on educating her students about diverse cultures, abilities, and celebrating uniqueness. Her work is centered on fostering an inclusive environment where every child feels valued. Her dedication to inclusivity drives her to make education accessible and meaningful for all.
